How Rabbit Came to Be

Rabbit was born from the idea that your playlist should move with you.

Why Did I Create Rabbit?

I have always been touched by music from a very young age, and have noticed the way it can bring any type of emotion to the surface. Once I started running, I realized just how much music could fuel performance, focus, and motivation. Music can be utilized in more ways than we think, and that is why Rabbit was created. To take the beats of a song and align it with your heart rate — not just to help you run, but to make the music move with you.

Who am I?

My name is Payton. Originally born outside of Philadelphia, I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. This is when I started running through the streets of my neighborhood during the summertime. I didn’t know it, but this is where my love for running started. I then got a college scholarship playing indoor & beach volleyball in Florida, and eventually moved out to Tampa soon after graduation. While I was in college I started to research BPM and what it meant. Around February of 2022, the idea of Rabbit sprouted. I sat on it for some time while I upped my running game to half marathons. I then started to curate my own playlists for these races. I was picking out my favorite songs and categorizing their BPM’s with the cadence of my heart rate for my desired race pace. This was to help me push when I needed to, and slow down when I needed to, and it worked. I’m well-versed in the running app world, but there was nothing like Rabbit I could really find that had what I was looking for. So, I made it myself.

Rabbit isn’t just about playlists — it’s about creating an experience that keeps runners locked in, focused, and energized. It’s about utilizing those songs that make you feel larger than life in a new way. Whether you’re chasing a marathon PR, or just starting out, Rabbit adapts music to your body so you can push further and feel more present in every step.
